Meritor, Inc. provides drivetrain mobility and braking solutions for original equipment (OE) manufacturers of trucks, trailers, and specialty vehicles. It operates in three segments: Commercial Truck, Industrial, and Aftermarket & Trailer. The Commercial Truck segment supplies drivetrain systems and components, including axles, drivelines, and braking and suspension systems primarily for medium and heavy duty trucks. The Industrial segment supplies drivetrain systems comprising axles, brakes, drivelines, and suspensions for off-highway, military, construction, bus and coach, fire and emergency, and other industrial applications. The Aftermarket & Trailer segment offers axles, brakes, suspension parts, transmissions, and other replacement and remanufactured parts for commercial vehicles. This segment also designs and manufactures undercarriage products and systems for heavy truck-trailer applications ranging from dry freight vans to liquid tanks, bulk and refrigerated transporters to platform trailers, and dump trailers to container chassis. Meritor, Inc. sells its products under the brand names of Meritor, Euclid, Mascot, Trucktechnic, Meritor WABCO, and Gabriel to motor carriers, OE dealers, and independent distributors in North and South America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. The company was formerly known as ArvinMeritor, Inc. and changed its name to Meritor, Inc. on March 30, 2011. Meritor, Inc. was founded in 1921 and is based in Troy, Michigan.
