Its Branch Banking segment provides deposit, loan, and lease products to individuals and small businesses. This segment offers depository and loan products, such as checking and savings accounts, home equity loans and lines of credit, credit cards, and loans for automobiles and other personal financing needs, as well as products for small businesses, including cash management services. The company's Consumer Lending segment consists of mortgage and home equity lending activities, including the origination, retention, and servicing of mortgage and home equity loans or lines of credit; and sales and securitizations of loans or pools of loans or lines of credit and associated hedging activities. This segment also involves in other indirect lending activities, such as loans to consumers through mortgage brokers and automobile dealers. Its Investment Advisors segment provides retail brokerage services to individual clients; and broker dealer services to the institutional marketplaces, as well as provides asset management and advisory services to mutual funds and institutional clients. This segment also offers strategy services in wealth planning, investing, insurance, and wealth protection to individuals. As of June 27, 2011, the company operated 1,316 full-service banking centers, including 103 Bank Mart locations and 2,447 ATMs. Fifth Third Bancorp was founded in 1862 and is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
