As of January 03, 2011, it operated 2,487 stores, including 838 dressbarn stores, 758 maurices stores, and 891 Justice stores. The company was formerly known as Dress Barn Inc. and changed its name to ascena retail group inc. in January, 2011. The company was founded in 1962 and is based in Suffern, New York.
