Sector IndexesAmex Gold - The AMEX Gold BUGS Index was introduces on March 15, 1996 and trading began at a level of 200 index points. BUGS is an acronym that stands for "Basket of Unhedged Gold Stocks". Amex Oil - The Amex Oil Index (XOI) represent a sector of corporations involved in various phases of the oil industry - exploration, production, and development of petroleum.
