How to Draw Trend-Lines on our Charts
MarketVolume® has always strived to provide the best and most intuitive chart
system available. This is why we have integrated trend-lines into all our
charts. Below is a short explanation on how you can use this feature to its
fullest potential.
Drawing Trend-Lines
- To draw a trend-line, simply right-click anywhere on a chart and hold
the mouse button down;
- While continuing to hold the right mouse button down, move the mouse to
the location where you wish to position the other end of the trend-line;
- Now, simply release the right mouse button. You have drawn your first
trend-line.
Deleting Trend-Lines
- To delete the previous trend-line you created, simply right-click once
anywhere on the chart. Do not drag the mouse (as this would create another
trend-line), just make a quick right-click;
- If you have drawn multiple trend-lines on a chart and wish to delete
them all at once, press the "Delete" key on your keyboard.
Scaling Trend-Lines
- This is a unique feature of our charts. It allows you to zoom in or out
from any given timeframe while maintaining the exact position of your
previously drawn trend-lines. The lines will be adjusted automatically
(rescaled) to the new zoom level. This means you can place a trend-line
anywhere and then zoom in or out on that chart without displacing or
distorting your trend-line. The lines’ correct proportions are always be
maintained.
Please note: You cannot create
trend-lines if you click on a chart area that contains no data (for instance, to
the very right of a chart after 4:00 p.m.).
